Heartology Cardiovascular Hospital Joins the Astra Group
PT Astra Sehat Nusantara, a subsidiary of Astra International, completed its acquisition of Heartology Cardiovascular Hospital in October 2024, making Heartology part of the Astra group's healthcare ecosystem.
Jakarta, 10 October 2024. PT Astra Sehat Nusantara, a subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk, completed its acquisition of Heartology Cardiovascular Hospital. With this step, Heartology became part of the Astra group.
Part of Astra’s Healthcare Ecosystem
In its press release, Astra said the acquisition continues the expansion of its healthcare business, reflecting its confidence in the prospects of Indonesia’s healthcare sector, supported by a large population and a growing economy. Heartology is expected to become part of Astra’s healthcare ecosystem and to strengthen Astra’s presence in Indonesia’s healthcare industry.
Astra’s President Director, Djony Bunarto Tjondro, described the step as an effort to improve the quality of treatment for critical illnesses in Indonesia. Astra had previously invested in the healthcare sector through Halodoc and Hermina.
